On January 20, 2010, I will post my exclusive interview with Terry Fallis, author of The Best Laid Plans. The Best Laid Plans, a brilliant political satire, won the Stephen Leacock medal in 2008. It has been ranked as the funniest Leacock winner of the decade and one of the best books of the decade. These are well-deserved honours - I wrote my novel, The 29th Day because I was inspired by The Best Laid Plans and encouraged by Terry’s mentorship.

Terry’s second novel, The High Road,  will be published by McLelland and Stewart in the fall and the anticipation is building! Terry has just submitted his manuscript for The High Road and is blogging about the final steps in the publication process – this is fascinating for those of us hoping to follow this path in the near future and anyone interested in books.

So, check back on January 20, 2010. In the meantime, visit Terry’s blog at www.terryfallis.com and Evadne Macedo’s previous interviews and profiles at http://books.macedo.ca:
